Search Box

Welcome to our tutorial on managing our search box widget. The search box widget is useful for allowing your customers to search your website for the information they need without having to navigate your menus. The same search box that powers this website is available for your use, allowing your customers to go directly to what they are looking for. To begin click the arrow next to a topic below and our visual guide will appear. To advance to the next step simply click the next button inside the appropriate box.

Add a Search Box

To learn how to add a new Search Box, please follow the instructions on the Add a New Widget page. When you add a Search Box, a new page called Search Results is created.

Edit a Search Box

Move your mouse over the Search Box you would like to edit. The box will highlight in orange and the Hover Menu will appear.
Click Edit
The Search Box widget will open.
Enter the Width, Initial Text in Box, and Button Label you would like to use, then click Apply.

Edit a Search Results Page

Edit the Search Results page.
Move your mouse over the Search Results area. The area will highlight in orange and the Hover Menu will appear.
Click Edit
The Search Results Area widget will open.
Choose the Results Per Page and Search Term Highlighting, then click Apply.
